Ortho tri cyclen lo - skipping a period?

Skipping periods is something you'll have to experiment with--some women do it with more success than others. Even on a monophasic pill, some women experience breakthrough bleeding. For triphasic pills, the goal is to try to avoid an abrupt change in hormone levels when attempting to skip a period. If you're already into the second week of your current pack and want to skip your upcoming period, skip your inactive week and take your next pack backwards (so, for the two months, you take week 1, then week 2, then week 3, followed by 3-2-1). The alternative method is to start out with two packs and take the first week of one pack, then the first week from the second pack, then week two, etc.: 1-1-2-2-3-3.
