Would you be in favour of a mive expansion of the (underground) railways?

I think that's a great idea, nut don;t know if any of the powers that be would approve such a move considering the current economic conditions...Not only is it a question of funding but I think people are being encouraged to spend more, and that means encouraging them to buy cars and spend on petrol, etc, so as to pump money back into the system...But I would love to see it happen, it owuld make transportation so much easier, safer and cheaper, not to mention a lot more environment-friendly...
